The Story of J.Vickroy Jewelry

I have always loved art, history, and design.   I really wanted to combine my creativity and design talent with my love for art and the past to design a new and unique handcrafted jewelry line.  J.Vickroy Jewelry was born in 2008 after I enrolled in metalsmithing and wax carving techniques classes in the U.S.  With an interest in different fabrication techniques and styles, I also enrolled in PMC classes to add more depth of knowledge.   As many artists, I love moving from an idea to a physical piece of artwork that I can hold in my hand. 

 

My husband and I moved from the NYC metro area, where I received an education in metalsmithing, wax carving and PMC, to Europe (Switzerland) in 2015.  I began selling my jewelry in Switzerland in 2017.  In 2018 I traveled to Paris and took workshop classes at Van Cleef and Arpels.  My travels and experiences in Europe and around the globe are continuous inspirations for my original handcrafted jewelry designs.  Many designs draw inspiration from European architecture, museums, gardens, and historical artifacts

J.Vickroy Jewelry begins with an idea and a sketch.  The pieces are then created in sterling silver, with many pieces having hand-applied 22k gold vermeil accents.   The jewelry is then oxidized to showcase the wonderful details of each piece.  Blackened silver, bright silver, and gold color combinations provide a striking and unique look.
